Daryl and Steve DeWalt |
DeWalt Builders has been in business since 1973. They specialize in
remodeling, additions, roofs, siding, decks, garages, window replacement, framing,
and finish carpentry.
Daryl DeWalt started building new homes in 1972.
Between 1972 and 1976 he build homes in the White House, Ohio area. During
that time period he was also the superintendent for the building of restaurants
such as Arby's Roast Beef, Little Ceasar's Family Inn, and Winner King in
Maumee, Ohio.
In 1977 Son Steve, a graduate of Otsego High School, joined the business as a partner.
Between 1977 and 1987 the father-and-son team built 35 homes in Oregon state and
a Kenney's Shoes in the Dallas Texas area. The DeWalts moved back to Ohio
in 1987. Since then remodeling and new home construction has been the
focus.
Daryl retired from the business in 2000. Son Steve
continues the family tradition of customer satisfaction with a crew of seasoned
employees.
